History with jazz. Be it swing, blues or Latin, Rieser always tried to use the musical traditions for his own work equally as a starting point and friction surface. In the fall of 2020, he recorded eleven lovingly refined pearls from his pen with Mario Söldi on drums and David Mäder on double bass. Pieces that nestle in the ear, occupy the mind and draw you further and further into the music. This is due to the clever arrangements, which surprise in a well-dosed way and are masterfully played. Because the three excellent musicians create a space beyond virtuosity. Thus the compositions can breathe freely and unfold. This song-serving attitude makes "Levels of Life" a real listening pleasure.
