Tasting with Mike Rudolph from Tenuta San Giorgio

Mike Rudolph is the 3rd generation to run the family estate. However, it was Mike who decided in 2001 to transform the mixed farm into an independent winery. Since 2003, elegant and authentic wines have been produced on the best sites directly above the shores of Lake Maggiore. Of course, the Merlot grape is in the foreground, but from the beginning Mike has also dedicated himself to the other "Bordeaux grapes". Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and even Petit Verdot can be found in his portfolio. From these grapes he presses a clear, transparent and well-structured range of top red wines. Of course, white wines must not be missing. Here, too, Mike skillfully combines tradition and modernity. Thus, in addition to the classic Merlot Bianco, there is also an exciting Sauvignon Blanc aged in wooden barrels. We are particularly pleased to present the youngest child from the house Tenuta San Giorgio, a white wine from Albariño grapes!
