SOUL - BLUES - HEART | Leandra Wiesli is the singer of whom journalist Peter Surber (SAITEN) wrote in the CD review: "The passion and vocal power of the young singer from eastern Switzerland come out grippingly in the song "A change is gonna come", for example, a cover of Sam Cooke's "anthem" of the US civil rights movement. Wiesli's characterful voice may have to compete with countless other interpreters of the soon-to-be sixty-year-old classic, but it glows, carries away and stands up to the song's sorrowful subtext. Music by Natalie Cole, Sam Cooke with an Aretha Franklin version, Ray Charles, Leela James, Joe Cooker, Joss Stone, Elton John, Gary Moore, Diana Schuur and of course five songs by the leader Urs C. Eigenmann with lyrics by Leandra Wiesli, Cornelia Buder and Nathalie Maerten are played.
