Billy Cobham is a kind of jazz-rock institution with a universe of its own. Totally immersed in a style that some consider a kind of swallowed world, he has managed to gather several generations of fans thanks to his extraordinary energy and power - and his unique playing. While Billy still likes nothing more than this explosive mixture of jazz, funk and rock, his true roots as a jazz drummer allow his music to be built on a tempo that is certainly relentless but always swinging. And the little rhythmic discoveries, which he likes to accompany with flaming solos, are always a feast for the ears as well as the eyes. His current European project with the two keyboardists Christophe Cravero (also violin), his faithful accomplice Camelia Ben Naceur, together with Fifi Chayeb (bass) and Jean-Marie Ecay (guitars), is in no way inferior to his "more American" formation (Crosswinds).
