Christian Kuchler - 18 points GaultMillau & 2 stars Michelin
The rise of Christian Kuchler (36) to the top gastronomy was fulminant. This did not go unnoticed by the testers of the gastronomic guide GaultMillau. At the age of 24, he became "Discovery of the Year 2010 of Eastern Switzerland" and was graded with 14 points (Schupfen, Diessenhofen). This was followed by a Michelin star in 2012 (Gasthof Hirschen, Eglisau) and in 2014 he was "Rising Star of the Year in German-speaking Switzerland" (17 points). Since the beginning of January 2015, he has been the owner and head chef of the Taverne zum Schäfli in Wigoltingen TG. He runs the business together with his partner Ramona Gubler. Since October 2017, the Taverne zum Schäfli has been awarded 2 Michelin stars and 18 GaultMillau points.
The star chefs fuse their cooking styles and guarantee an unforgettable taste experience. Our restaurant manager and sommelier Loris Lenzo will lead through the evening, serving the exquisite wines matched to each course.
